We are looking for both full time although part time/job share would be considered (all options include alternate weekends)

We are looking for people with horticultural experience to work in our Outdoor Plant department within Scotsdales at Shelford.

We are one of the largest Garden Centres in the UK with 50 years’ experience and pride ourselves with having a solid understanding of our customer needs.

You will have sound horticultural knowledge, communicate well and of course be commercially aware.

Providing a high level of customer service must come naturally as we aim to provide a unique and pleasurable shopping experience.

Other duties include unloading and booking in of deliveries, merchandising and display, watering and general plant care.

This is a full time position – 5 Days a week which include alternate weekends, No split shifts or evening work

Working in our renowned Sunflower Café situated within Scotsdales Garden Centre which produces good quality home-made dishes, including full English breakfast, specials board and afternoon teas as Commis Chef you will preparing and cooking with all fresh ingredients.

You will be working as part of the team assisting with daily Prep and ensuring that your section is clean, organised and ready for service.

Previous experience in a similar food environment is essential, the role is for a disciplined team player who enjoys the fast paced environment, is methodical and has ideas and imagination to contribute towards menu planning.

Yes the work is hard and at times extremely busy, so you need to be able to work well under pressure and keep a cool head. But having said that the benefits of a job well done and working with an amazing friendly team will make it all worthwhile.

Chef de Partie– Sunflower Cafe

You need to be polite and friendly with good customer service skills, have a smart and tidy appearance and wear the Scotsdales uniform with pride.
